Huh, a girl I went to elementary school with is competing in gymnastics at the Olympics. Just watched her fall off the parallel bars before I realized who she was. (Okay she's five years younger than I am, so I didn't so much go to school with her, but hey, it's still odd to see her on TV.)

Aren't you excited that I'm blogging again? The wit, the wisdom. Ooh.

Couldn't be bothered to come up with a new template, but I couldn't stand the broken image link and ugliness, so I've got this temporarily.

Now I'm going to be distracted by the novelty of blogging again and let my dinner burn.

I suddenly had the urge to read "A Child's Christmas in Scarborough" today (really, I wanted to hear it, but I figured I wouldn't have much luck finding an audio version)... I can remember listening to it on the CBC years ago and thinking it was hilarious. Though maybe it was just the delivery? Anyway.

So I did a search, but the only link I could find was this... and it's only because I really want to read it that I'm going to force myself to ignore the floaty eyeballs and the distracting background and blah... ugh. I am glad someone has it online though. (But GOD! those eyeballs! why?)

I hate transit.

Boyfriend lives about a 15-20 minute drive away. To get there by transit, I have to:

1) walk to bus stop (10 minutes)
2) bus to skytrain station (5 minutes)
3) take the skytrain one stop (5 minutes)
4) take another bus (10 minutes)
5) transfer to another bus (15 minutes)
6) walk to his place (10 minutes)

= skytrain and 3 buses for a total of almost an hour (assuming I actually make all those transfers right away, which is highly unlikely)

= retarded

Actually, considering how many transfers I have to make, an hour isn't bad time. It's the fact that I have to make 3 transfers (for what would be a 15 minute drive) that's ridiculous.

Okay, so it's not sex and death...

This claims that worms are a symbol of weakness and negativity. Or poor health.

Hm.

Or maybe my brain just wants to give me the most revolting dreams possible.

I woke up this morning feeling both relieved and grossed out because I had a dream about worms coming out of my skin (possibly because of the maggot incident -- see below). (The relief came at the realization that it was just a dream, and that I wouldn't have to rush myself to the doctor for decontamination/worm-extraction.)

BLEARGH.

And then as I was lying there still half-asleep, I suddenly remembered a dream I'd had years and years ago about worms going into my skin. It must have been at least 10 years ago -- so strange to have that memory be so clear after not thinking about it for so long.

So what's the dream analysis on worms? It's got to have something to do with either sex or death, I'm sure. *shudder*

Had to go to the dentist this morning. It sucks that while I was going to school, I had dental coverage, but no time to go to the dentist... now I have all the time in the world and no coverage. Bah.

It was my first "real" filling today. I've never had the freezing before; it made my legs go all twitchy cause of the needle. The dentist freaked me out a bit too, when he was going to try to do it without freezing me -- he started talking about how there's pain and then there's "vibration", and sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between them, but what I would be feeling would be "vibration". Which of course made me expect severe pain :P

Didn't hurt at all though, except for the needle itself (ugh) and the sore jaw afterwards. And I got to see their nifty new mouth-cam for a close-up view of my tooth. Woo. Could be kind of fun having one of those... imagine the possiblities for unusual angles .

School officially finished on Friday, and I just forgot how to spell "floor".

I'm getting stupider already.
